Each Texas Hunter Fish Feeder includes a DF12 timer that allows you to program the feeder with up to 9 different settings! This timer is simple and easy to use to the point you just have to set it, and forget it!
The Texas Hunter Products DF425 Directional Feeder rests at ground level and delivers feed over a wide wedge- 45 feet in length by 20 feet in width.The feed is propelled forward and away from the feeder. This prevents attracting wildlife and varmints directly to the feeder. This unit is equipped with two motors. This allows the first lower motor to reach full speed before any feed is released.
The second upper motor then cuts on releasing feed for the desired amount of time. The top motor then turns off and a few seconds later the bottom motor turns off. The result is no feed is wasted. All feed is propelled out into your lake or pond. No feed drops at the base of the feeder. This design eliminates the need for special shut off gates at the base of the feeder.These shut off gates have caused problems in other directional feeders.
This Texas Hunter 250 lb Feeder is by far the lowest required maintenance fish feeder on the market. With the large hopper design, optional solar charger and advanced hardware system, this feeder can take care of itself.
If you do not plan on feeding your fish all year round, off-season preperations couldn't be easier! Just let the fish feeder run out of feed and leave it be. No need to bring it inside, and you dont have to take out the battery if you have the solar panel attached. The solar panel will continue to charge the battery and cyle the machine without feed. This ensure that the machine continues to cycle and stay loose during the off months.

Feeding Schedules
The included DFT12 timer has availability to schedule 8 feeding times per day, up to 1 minute long during each feeding. When you are just setting up your feeder, we recommend to set 2 feeding times. Once in the morning and once in the evening for only a few seconds each time. You will be surprised at how much feed can be dispensed in only a few seconds. As your fish continue to get used to the feeder you can adjust your settings and feed more aggressively if your fish are consuming all the feed. For the next few weeks, continue to monitor the feeder and adjust based on your desired results. You'll have 5lb bass and 12-inch slabs in no time!
